Key Background:

Birmingham’s iconic skyline restaurant, Orelle, which was recently named Best Restaurant in Birmingham at this year’s British Restaurant Awards, has announced a major rebrand. Starting Friday, 24 October, the restaurant will take on its new name, 24 Stories, becoming part of The Evolv Collection’s group of ‘Stories’ restaurants, which also includes 20 Stories in Manchester and 14 Stories in London.

The rebrand aims to unify the brand across the UK while offering diners fresh and exciting experiences. Along with the new name, 24 Stories will add new dishes that celebrate Birmingham’s food traditions.

The new menu will feature dishes like Beef Croquette with hot sauce, inspired by The Bullring and the old HP Sauce factory, Day Boat Cod, honoring Birmingham’s historic fish market, and Saddleback Pork Cutlet with bacon cake and black pudding, celebrating traditional Black Country cuisine. These new creations will complement existing customer favourites, ensuring a mix of innovation and tradition on every plate.

Richard Chiswell, General Manager at 24 Stories, said that Orelle has long been a popular spot for diners in Birmingham and beyond. He added that the new name will not change the high-quality experience guests are used to, and there will be even more reasons to visit with new dishes and drinks while still keeping some favourite menu items.

Martin Williams, CEO of The Evolv Collection, said that Orelle has been an important part of the company’s success. He added that the new Stories brand is an exciting step, allowing the three restaurants to work together and offer dining experiences that respect tradition while looking forward to the future.

With this new name, 24 Stories aims to offer a better dining experience that mixes Birmingham’s food traditions with modern flavours. Guests can look forward to a new menu, beautiful city views, and a warm atmosphere that keeps the restaurant’s charm alive.
