Papa Johns has taken a huge leap forward in its global digital approach by upping David Rose to the role of Senior Director, Global MarTech, AI & Innovation. This is an elevation of his previous role overseeing global digital activity and is the brand’s confirmation of pioneering innovation and AI-driven disruption in the quick-service restaurant space.
David Rose has a rich heritage with leading brands like Starbucks and Virgin Atlantic. At Starbucks, he managed customer engagement and loyalty in the EMEA region. At Virgin Atlantic, he has had almost a decade of experience of managing loyalty roles to the vice president of loyalty. He has also led communications and public health marketing with NHS Blood and Transplant, showing his online depth of experience.
In his new global role, Rose will be charged with building and refining Papa Johns’ global marketing technology platform. He also will oversee the activation of artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions to enable personalization, campaign measurement, and customer experience. His role will cover digital channels, loyalty programs, and field operations across over 50 markets worldwide.
Rose is also part of Papa Johns’ internal AI Catalyst Team, where he pilots and rolls out AI innovations throughout the company. He is a founding member of a global AI leadership community, intent on guiding strategic leveraging of frontier technology. His promotion is proof of Papa Johns’ growing wager on data-driven decision-making, automation, and next-generation customer experience.
