Background:

Restaurateur Samyukta Nair will open a new Thai restaurant, MIKO Mei Fair, in Mayfair in April 2026. The concept brings together the style of MiMi Mei Fair and the Thai cooking of KOYN Thai, offering a fresh take on Thai food.

MIKO Mei Fair will be on the ground floor of MiMi Mei Fair’s Georgian townhouse. It will seat up to 50 guests and include a private dining room for eight. The restaurant will focus on shared meals, friendly service and a relaxed setting.

Chef Soonthorn Apaipat, head chef at KOYN Thai, will lead the kitchen. He has designed a menu that blends spice, freshness and rich flavours. The dishes are inspired by different regions of Thailand, including Isaan, the south and central Thailand.

The restaurant will focus on fire cooking, with a robata-style grill at the centre of the kitchen. Signature dishes include Netted Spring Rolls, Lobster Choo Chee, Lamb Massaman Curry, and a fusion Apple Wood Fire Peking Duck with Penang curry. Popular items from KOYN Thai will also feature on the menu.

The bar will serve cocktails made with tropical fruits, spices and citrus. Signature drinks include the Sabai Sabai, Thai Pink Spritz, and Golden Mango Margarita, along with non-alcoholic options.

The interiors combine bold colours and textures inspired by Thailand, with teal panels, red leather seating, and gold detailing.

Nair said the new restaurant reflects a natural step forward, blending fire-led cooking with a focus on shared dining and Thai hospitality. She added that MIKO Mei Fair aims to offer guests an immersive experience of Thailand in the heart of Mayfair.
