Background:

Honest Burgers is expanding its presence in Bristol with two new restaurants set to open in two of the city’s busiest retail hubs. The popular burger chain has confirmed its arrival at Cabot Circus later this month, followed by a second planned site at Cribbs Causeway.

The Cabot Circus restaurant will welcome customers from Saturday, November 22, marking the brand’s first-ever branch located inside a retail shopping space. Honest Burgers already operates a city centre outlet on Clare Street, but the new venue will offer an updated look featuring its signature green interiors, handwritten chalkboards and exposed brickwork, seating up to 60 diners.

A spokesperson for the company also revealed that another Bristol location is in progress at Cribbs Causeway, though the exact opening date and final site within the retail destination are still to be confirmed.

To celebrate the launch, Honest Burgers plans to host a burger giveaway in early December, offering local customers a chance to sample its signature flavours. The Cabot Circus branch will also spotlight Bristol’s food scene by serving beers from a local brewery and introducing a special “local burger” created in partnership with Tubby Tom’s, a South West sauce and seasoning specialist.

Co-founder Tom Barton said the team is excited to continue growing in the South West. “When we started Honest in Brixton, our aim was simple: to serve quality British burgers and chips that people would love. We’re proud to be opening another restaurant in Bristol and look forward to welcoming the community through the doors.”

Honest Burgers is known for making all its burgers in-house using chopped British beef from its own butchery, paired with its signature rosemary-salted chips. Alongside its classic OG Honest burger, the menu also includes smashed burgers, fried chicken, vegetarian and vegan choices, plus a variety of homemade sides.

Honest Burgers began in 2009 when Tom Barton and Philip Eeles started serving burgers at a local food festival. Since then, it has grown into a national chain with 39 restaurants across England and Wales.
