Background:
The McDonald’s in Pilsworth, Bury, has reopened after a major renovation aimed at improving the customer experience. The restaurant was briefly closed to update its layout and add new technology.
As part of the changes, the branch now offers a ‘Ready on Arrival’ service, letting customers collect their meals as soon as they get there, perfect for those on short lunch breaks. The revamp is a part of McDonald’s broader ‘Convenience of the Future’ initiative, aimed at gradually modernising its branches across the UK.
The Pilsworth branch, strategically located next to the Manchester M60 circular at Junction 3 of the M66, now also features three InstaVolt ultra-rapid EV charging points for electric vehicle owners. The indoor seating now has more charging points for phones and laptops, and the outdoor patio has new powered shades to keep customers dry in rainy weather.
Local franchise owner Simon Toft, who manages three McDonald’s outlets in the Bury area, expressed his enthusiasm about the refurbishment. Simon Toft said he was very happy to upgrade the Pilsworth restaurant and that it now looks great. He added that they are excited to welcome customers again.
The renovation plans were submitted to Bury Council in September last year and received approval from planning officers on November 17. The council said the renovation would help the area by boosting the economy, improving social spaces, and supporting the environment.
The restaurant now has a comfortable space and faster service, making it a handy stop for families and commuters.
