Background:

The world’s largest restaurant chain has officially arrived in the United States. Mixue, a Hong Kong-based bubble tea and dessert brand, opened its first U.S. location on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles in December, marking the beginning of its American journey. Additional locations have already launched in New York City, including Times Square and Koreatown.

Mixue, founded by Zhang Hongchao, has more than 53,000 stores worldwide, more than Starbucks and Subway. Mixue is also known for its snowman mascot and fun theme song.

Zhang, who grew up in a humble household, says his goal is simple: “Let people around the world eat well and drink well for just two American dollars.” The company emphasizes that its first U.S. stores are just the start of a larger expansion plan. “Given the substantial market potential in the United States, we will steadily grow our footprint, allowing more local consumers to enjoy high-quality, affordable drinks,” a Mixue spokesperson said.

One of the main reasons for Mixue’s success is its carefully managed supply chain, which monitors everything from sourcing ingredients to delivering products. The company keeps improving its logistics, production, and research to maintain good quality and low prices as it grows worldwide.

Now that Mixue has opened in the U.S., it is ready to offer American customers its mix of affordable drinks, tasty treats, and fun experiences, bringing something new to the restaurant scene.
