The new Dundee outlet, located at Kingsway West Retail Park in a unit previously occupied by Pizza Hut, marks Popeyes’ ninth location in Scotland. The restaurant will create 81 new jobs, with recruitment having been underway since early January. The dining space includes 54 seats inside, 16 seats outdoors, and four “park and serve” bays for quick takeaway service. The official opening is scheduled for Friday, February 13.
Popeyes has revealed that the promotion will be available to the first four pedestrian customers and the first four park-and-serve visitors, each receiving free deluxe sandwiches for 365 days. Additionally, the first 100 guests through the doors will enjoy a free deluxe sandwich on opening day, while the first 50 will receive extra merchandise.
Fans are expected to arrive early, as queues often form well before openings. At Popeyes’ first Scottish branch in Barrhead in 2023, some customers waited for over 18 hours. Those unable to attend in person can also register online for a chance to be invited to the Dundee branch’s grand opening.
